US M1905 2nd Pattern Shortened M1 Garand Bayonet by Utica Cutlery, Dated 1942, designed for the M1 Garand. Single-edge 145mm blade, shortened between 1943-45 from the earlier 16-inch blade, with a single fuller and false edge. Bakelite ribbed slab grips, held in place with a single nut and bolt. All metalwork has a grey parkerised finish

Marked on the ricasso “UC” (Utica Cutlery) with what looks to be the Ordnance Corps logo on one side and “UC, US, (flaming grenade), 1942”.

Overall condition: Excellent, almost mint however the scabbard is slightly worn in places with patches of paint missing
