The first of the many published works on the Victoria Cross and its recipients appeared in 1857, the same year as the first VC investiture. Part I of this bibliography lists all key VC titles, each with a description and notes; Part 2 lists non-fiction and fictional works written by VC recipients. The Index is an alphabetical list of every recipient, cross-referenced to books in Parts 1 and 2, and with the date of their London Gazette citation.
