Officer’s uniform button of the Westminster Dragoons, produced to the Territorial Yeomanry pattern used from 1908 until the regiment’s later post-war reorganisation. The Westminster Dragoons served in both mounted and armoured roles, and officer-quality buttons of this type were worn on service dress and ceremonial uniforms throughout the First World War, the inter-war years, and into the post-Second World War period.

Manufactured in gilt metal, the button is finely struck with crisp detail, displaying the crest of Westminster and “TY” (Territorial Yeomanry) below. The reverse is fitted with a fixed shank for sewing to uniform garments.

Diameter
19mm

Condition
Good. Sharp detail and light age-related toning are present, with wear to the gilt finish. However, the button remains well-preserved, and the shank is intact and secure.
