WW1-Era Royal Marine Light Infantry Rifle Sweetheart Brooch

An original First World War-era Royal Marine Light Infantry (RMLI) sweetheart brooch, on a rifle and bayonet backing. These brooches were privately purchased and gifted by serving soldiers to loved ones during and after the Great War.

This brooch is manufactured in gilt brass and includes a Lee-Metford Rifle with bayonet, with the cap badge design in the foreground. The scroll is detailed with blue enamel.

Condition: Very good, some wear to the gilt
