An original brass shoulder title to the Cape Town Rifles (Duke of Edinburgh’s Own), a long-standing volunteer regiment of the South African Army. This title features the single word: “DUKES” die-stamped in brass with integral lugs to reverse for attachment to epaulettes or shoulder straps. This pattern was worn primarily during the Union Defence Force era (c. 1920s–1950s), and possibly into the early SADF period, reflecting the regiment’s distinctive identity within South African military tradition.
