Originally introduced in the late Victorian era, the Blue Cloth Home Service Helmet was worn by infantry, artillery, and regimental bands during parades and ceremonial duties across the British Empire.
This faithfully reproduced spike is crafted in highly polished brass, with the plain design typical of Bandsmen’s or other ranks’ helmets. It’s designed to fit the standard spike base found on the blue cloth Home Service helmets used from the 1870s through to today.
