Imperial Service Medal, King George V, issued between 1920 and 1930. This medal was awarded to long-serving members of the British Civil Service who completed 25 years of meritorious service, often in non-military government roles throughout the United Kingdom and the British Empire.
Struck in silver, the obverse features the crowned left-facing profile of King George V with the inscription “GEORGIVS V D. G. BRITT: OMN: REX F. D. INDIAE. IMP.”, used on coinage during his reign. The reverse bears the image of a naked man resting from his labours with the inscription “For Faithful Service”
