Victory Medal, Gunner William Joseph Barker, Royal Marine Artillery

William Joseph Barker was born on the 5th of March 1896. He enlisted in the Navy on the 6th of April, 1915, and began service on the HMS Superb on the 5th of January, 1916, one of three Bellerophon-class dreadnought battleships, as a Gunner. He would’ve been a Gunner during both the Battle of Jutland and the action of 19th of August as part of the Grand Fleet. He would leave service on the 4th of August, 1918 and is also entitled to the British War Medal.
