Belgian FN M1935 Browning Hi-Power leather holster, original example of military pistol equipment designed for the FN M1935 Browning Hi-Power service pistol.

Manufactured from heavy-duty dark brown leather, this holster was designed specifically to carry the Browning Hi-Power, one of the most influential military sidearms of the twentieth century. Engineered to protect the pistol while allowing rapid access, the holster features the robust construction expected of military equipment and was intended for service use in demanding field conditions.

Designed by John Browning and completed after his death by Dieudonné Saive of Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN), the Browning Hi-Power was officially introduced in 1935. Chambered for the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge and incorporating a then-remarkable 13-round magazine, it became one of the most widely adopted military pistols in history.

The Hi-Power served with the Belgian army and was subsequently adopted by military and police forces in more than 50 countries. It saw extensive service during the Second World War, the Korean War, the Suez Crisis, the Falklands War, the Gulf conflicts, and numerous Cold War and post-Cold War operations. Variants remained in front-line military service for more than eighty years.

Marked on the inside of the lid; however, the only legible part is the number “55”.

Good overall original condition, with an attractive age-related leather patina. Light service wear, minor scuffs, creasing, and surface marks consistent with military use and long-term storage.
