Description
Imperial German Ersatz EB25 Variant Bayonet in Scabbard with Frog. Manufactured during the start of the Great War to make up for shortages of bayonets in the German and Axis arsenal.
307mm single-edged, unfullered blade with cast steel grips with no visible acceptance marks, in a fairly crude steel scabbard, 434mm in length (out of the sheath). The muzzle ring has been removed, making it similar to the bayonet in Kiesling’s “Bayonets of the World” (reference 846). Theoretically, it can be fitted on a Gewehr 98 but it more comfortably fits a Gewehr 71-84
Condition: Good. The grips and sheath are lightly pitted and discoloured
