An original Imperial German Dopp. Z C/91 Sb artillery fuse, rendered completely inert. Introduced in the late 19th century and widely used during the First World War, the Dopp. Z C/91 Sb was a time-and-percussion fuze fitted to German field and heavy artillery shells. This example is manufactured in brass with clear markings visible on the body, including the model designation. These were used on the 9cm Field Gun ’73/88 for the 1888 pattern shell and 1891 pattern shrapnel shell
Condition
Good. Visible ordnance markings and intact body form. Brass has developed an even patina with light surface wear and minor handling marks. The threaded base is intact but fairly beaten up. All components are fully inert, with no explosive elements.
