An original French 75mm brass shell case, designed for the famous Canon de 75 modèle 1897 — one of the most widely used French field guns in military history. First introduced in the late 19th century, the “French 75” was a revolutionary quick-firing gun that became commonly used by the French artillery in World War I, and it continued service in World War II.
Made from brass, this shell case is an example of early 20th-century ordnance, widely used across both wars.
