Replacement copy of the British General Service Medal (GSM) with clasp “Palestine 1945–48.” This campaign medal was originally awarded to British service personnel who took part in operations in Palestine between 27 September 1945 and 30 June 1948, during the post-war unrest in the British Mandate of Palestine.
The replacement medal replicates the original design, featuring the crowned effigy of King George VI on the obverse and the standing figure of Victory bestowing a wreath upon the emblems of the Army (the sword) and the RAF (the wings). The medal is correctly fitted with the green and purple ribbon and the “Palestine 1945–48” clasp riveted with a long rod.
Silver plate finish on base metal.
