British Indian 1907 Pattern Mk. III* Bayonet, Dated April 1944. Made in India, the Mk. III* sword bayonet was designed for the .303 caliber Short Magazine Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk. III (SMLE) rifle. As the final and crudest production variant, it features a distinctive square pommel and rectangular grips.

Marked on the ricasso “GRI (George VI of India), Mk. II (I’m unsure why), 4, 44, RFI (Rifle Factory Ishapore)
