Home Guard US M1917 Sword Bayonet (Remington, 1917) for the Model 1917 30-06 Rifle. Complete in steel mounted green finished scabbard with Maxim first pattern scabbard mount for the US M1910 belt. Ricasso marked ‘1917 Remington’ on one side and “U.S, Flaming Grenade with eagles head and inspector marked 15” on the other. Steel Pommel with oil hole, rounded slab walnut grips held by slot head bolts and slotted round nuts. As issued to the British Home Guard during the Second World War.
Condition: Very good but some bad pitting on the pommel around the catch
