A contemporary miniature of the India Title Badge 1st Class, specifically the Sikh Issue, awarded with the title “Sardar Bahadur” during the reign of King George V (1910–1936). Miniatures such as this were privately produced for mess dress, display, or family collections, faithfully following the full-size badge design.

Description

This miniature represents the Sardar Bahadur distinction awarded to Sikh officers and officials for distinguished service within the Indian Empire:

  • Form: Small Tudor (King) crowned 6-point star in gilt metal.

  • Obverse: Central side profile of George V facing right, surrounded by the enamel circlet that reads “Sardar Bahadur”, consistent with the full-size 1st Class badge.

  • Reverse: Plain gilt.

  • Suspension: Small ring, suitable for miniature ribbon or display mounting.

Condition

Very good. Well-preserved contemporary miniature with detailing. Ribbon intact and correctly proportioned, suitable for mess dress, medal grouping, or display. Minor wear as well as damage to the enamel is present.
