An original brass shoulder title of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, also known as the “Ox and Bucks”, featuring the single word “OXF & BUCKS” in serifed block capitals.

This title was worn on the service dress uniform by other ranks, typically during the First and Second World Wars as well as the interwar period, and remained in use until the regiment’s change to white metal in 1954.

Struck in brass, this shoulder title is die-formed with two original copper loops (lugs) to the reverse for sewing or attaching to the epaulette. Variants exist, but this example is consistent with WWI and WWII. It was usually worn in pairs, one on each shoulder.

Condition: Very Good – Light service wear and original age patina; both fixing lugs present and firm.
Dimensions: Approx. 53mm x 24mm
