Republic Commemoration Medal, issued in 1956 to mark the formal declaration of Pakistan as a Republic on 23rd March 1956, following the adoption of its first constitution. This medal commemorates the transition from a British Dominion to an Islamic Republic within the Commonwealth.
Struck in cupro-nickel with a swivel suspender and blank clasp, and suspended from a distinctive green, red, black and white ribbon
