A high-quality example of the Royal Hampshire Regiment cap badge in post-1953 pattern, worn throughout the reign of Queen Elizabeth II until the regiment’s amalgamation in 1992.

Description

This attractive and detailed badge features:

• A silver-plated crowned Garter star, surmounted by the Queen’s Crown (St Edward’s Crown).

• At the centre, a Hampshire rose in gilt and enamel.

• Surrounding the central device is the blue enamel circlet with the Royal motto and title reading ROYAL HAMPSHIRE.

• The reverse is fitted with eyed lugs for attachment.

This is the classic post-1953 officer-quality pattern combining silver plate, gilt, and enamel—distinct from the all-brass or anodised OR versions.
