Royal Horse Artillery (RHA) cap badge produced as a restrike of the GRVI cypher pattern worn during the reign of George VI from 1936 to 1953. This British Army artillery cap badge displays the recognised Royal Horse Artillery insignia in clear relief, incorporating the GRVI royal cypher in a circlet, with the royal motto and a scroll reading the regimental title “Royal Horse Artillery”, all surmounted by the King’s crown, arranged in a formal, balanced composition characteristic of Army headdress insignia. The design reflects the Royal Horse Artillery’s distinct identity within the Royal Regiment of Artillery and its ceremonial and operational role during the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Manufactured in a bright white metal consistent with service dress and beret wear, this restrike example offers a sharply defined representation of the original King’s Crown pattern. Royal Horse Artillery GRVI cap badges are collected as examples of modern British Army militaria, King’s Crown artillery insignia, and contemporary regimental uniform hardware. The reverse is fitted with standard lug fittings for secure attachment to a cap or beret.
