An original South African Natal Mounted Rifles (NMR) uniform button, dating from the Union Defence Force era, circa 1922 to the early 1960s. Measuring 20mm, this smaller-sized button would typically have been worn on the cuffs, pockets or epaulettes of officer or enlisted dress uniforms.
Struck in white metal, the button features the crowned initials “NMR” for Natal Mounted Rifles.
Condition: Very good. Original shank to reverse is intact.
