British Indian 1907 Pattern Mk. III* Bayonet, Dated April 1944. Made in India sword bayonet for the .303 caliber Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield No. I Mk. III (SMLE) rifle. Unlike modified bayonets, this one was specifically crafted in 1944 with a 12-inch unfullered blade in the workshops of the North West Railways (NWR).

Marked on the ricasso “GRI (George VI of India), Mk. II, 5, 43, RFI (Rifle Factory Ishapore)”
