British Martini-Henry Pattern 1887 Mk. IV Rifle Sword Bayonet in Scabbard. Converted in 1891 from the earlier trials Enfield-Martini (.402) rifle bayonet. Chequered black leather grips held by four rivets, flat leaf spring locking catch with a dome-head bolt. Ricasso dated 1887, the rest of the markings are difficult to read at best.
Condition: Acceptable, the bayonet and scabbard have rust pitting throughout, as previously mentioned the markings are generally difficult to read and the leather grips have worn away towards the pommel
