Essex Regiment anodised uniform button, produced in the late 1950s. This long-serving pattern was worn throughout the Edwardian period, the First World War, the inter-war years, and the Second World War, reflecting the regiment’s extensive service history across multiple conflicts.

The button is of anodised aluminium, die-struck with fine detail. It bears the Essex Regiment insignia, incorporating the regimental Salamanca eagle and castle within a wreath. The reverse is fitted with a fixed shank for attachment to uniform garments.

Condition
Very good, retaining much of its original gilt finish with light age-related toning. Detail remains sharp, and the shank is intact and secure.
