The Cold War medal was designed for all those awarded the Cold War Certificate by the U.S. Government. The medal has a stylized Berlin wall and an Asian structure to symbolize the division of Germany and the ongoing defense of South Korea after the Korean War.
Ribbon: Stripes of red, white and blue, a field of red to symbolize the struggle against communism, edged in black to honor our many servicemen that died in this struggle.
