British 1907 Pattern Parade Bayonet, Dated 1918 by Chapman, RAF Unit Marked in the WWII pattern scabbard with round frog stud. Used on the SMLE throughout the First and Second World Wars. Chrome-plated for use during parades and worn while in ceremonial dress.
Marked on the ricasso “(Tudor crown) 1907, 1(either January but may have been 11 or 12 for November or December) 18, Chapman” on one side, reverse marked with various inspectors marks. In a 1908 Pattern frog marked “M.E. Co. 1940” (Mills Equipment Co.) and inscribed “MILLER”. Marked on the pommel “RAF. 1, 4692”, tang stamped “178” on the scabbard’s throat “RAF, 525”.

Condition: Very good, the frog is discoloured and the scabbard is missing a lace
